When power pop is played by masters, it feels like it’s the last genre that still matters. Everything from Chris Page’s upbeat, jangly guitars and sad-sack lyrics, to Scott Terry’s immaculate drumming channels Dinosaur Jr at their most melodic (and perhaps least noisy) and Hüsker Dü at their most despondent. Feeling shitty never felt so good.
