Almost twenty five years into their career, the blueprint for DIY American indie rock (before that term became a dirty word), Superchunk, continue to play their hearts out on punk rock rave ups and maddeningly solid rockers. You may recognize singer Mac McCaughan as the founder of Portastatic and co-founder of influential indie imprint, Merge Records along with bassist Laura Ballance. You may recognize drummer Jon Wurster as 1/2 the Scharpling & Wurster comedy team (not to mention his drumming with Mountain Goats and Bob Mould). No matter, it'll be impossible to not recognize Superchunk as *still* one of the best live rock n' roll bands going.
