Calgary band 36? started when frontman Taylor Cochrane was 17 years old, living in his parents’ basement and hopped up on ADD medication. Now an indie rock foursome with six albums under their belt, 36? has clearly managed to harness Cochrane’s frenetic creative energy, crafting imaginative eclectic music that combines pop, psych rock and punk, using traditional and unconventional instruments. Though only released in February, 36?’s where do we go from here? has already been called possibly the best album of 2014.
