Last summer, Chron Goblin played a heavy, psychedelic set in middle-of-nowhere Alberta, sheltered from the pounding rain by a colourful parachute held up by the crowd. Chron Goblin emerged from the shadows a giant, sludgy, imperturbable behemoth satiated by nothing except a thousand smoked beers and the call of the party.
