Members of PMMA and Aiwass make up punk-meets-coldwave group Crims & Flow. Vehemently lo-fi and unpolished, they trace crude outlines of pop music with a frayed brush. Plain-spoken vocals accompany deliberately flat guitar, drums and synth. It’s a meta approach to be sure, but it’s one that offers reflection on the aesthetic of art rock while still eliciting a physical response from audiences.
