Past Sled Island-goers are no doubt familiar with Thor Harris’ eye-popping percussion abilities. We’ve seen him savage a drum kit (Swans in 2013, Ben Frost in 2015), but he and his Friends (of Deerhoof, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, more) now coax a sea of minimal patterns from instruments like marimba and xylophone, producing soothing locked grooves rather than a cacophony of crashes and bangs.
