In 2015, after their previous band Golden Grrrls said goodbye, vocalist-guitarist Rachel Aggs (Shopping, Trash Kit) and vocalist-drummer Eilidh Rodgers formed Sacred Paws and promptly signed to Mogwai’s Rock Action. Since then, they’ve released two infectious albums that fuse indie pop, post punk and a glimmer of Afrobeat — the first of which, Strike a Match, bagged the Scottish Album of the Year award in 2017.
