Beloved singer-songwriter Samantha Savage Smith is back with her first new album in seven years, Fake Nice. Its 11 tracks are ornate but unfussy guitar-led pop, setting her sublime high register against clattering percussion, saxophone, synth and pastel melodies. A group of Calgary’s top players, including Chris Dadge, Laura Bardsley, Brock Geiger and Nate Waters will help bring the songs alive on stage.
