This seven-piece band — originally consisting of just Ben Lock and Hudson Schlesny — has a full-bodied, sumptuous take on jazzy post-punk. Their debut single, “Weird New Vocation,” is a rollercoaster of rollicking rhythms and a smidge of atonal dissonance, like a sheened-up Black Midi.
