A hypnotic trip towards the shoegaze floatiness of the mid-90s, innerouter sends these sounds tumbling down rapids of hard rock and alternative sludge. They’ve dubbed the resulting noise “dream grunge,” an apt descriptor for their debut album Get Real, dropped late last year like a message-in-a-bottle from Seattle’s flannel-clad heyday.
