Existing in the cosmos between free jazz and intricate songwriting, Midnight Channel deals in sonic joy via strings ‘n sax. They originated as a collective from the University of Lethbridge’s music program before dropping Gemini Sunrise in 2023. The album bends between familiar smooth jazz melodies and thrilling improvisation that careens with wild abandon.
