Anchored by dueling guitarists David Lavoie and Aidan O'Reilly, Temps is a low-key explosion of jazz virtuosity and post-punk atmosphere. Versatile textures and infectious grooves haunt all five tracks of the Big Deal EP, as does the weirdo drumming of Chris Dadge. This interplay of angular riffs and colourful chords is a staple of Sled Island.
